Overview
We currently have an opening in Philadelphia, PA for a .NET Developer with strong drive and experience in assisting in the development of web based applications built on the .net framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development and the entire SDLC lifecycle. Experience in .net framework, ASP, SQL Server and web services are all required. Previous experience working in an Agile and Scrum development methodology is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
· Provide development support for multiple .net programs during design, development, testing and support phases of the SDLC.
· Develop web service interfaces using WSDL
· Participate in Agile and Scrum development methodology and meetings.
· Provide troubleshooting support to environment and code issues
· Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May direct workflow and act as a technical lead.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
· Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends if needed, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication/English skills
· 5-7 yrs combined development & support of complex high volume web based applications.
· Advanced knowledge of the .net 3.5+ framework
· Expert knowledge of windows environments
· 3 + years development experience in a mix of the following technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP, ASP.NET), HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, Service-Oriented Architecture.
· 1+ year developing in Agile and/or Scrum methodology
· Solid understanding of IIS, ASP.NET application deployment and troubleshooting is required
· Working knowledge of Active Directory administration.
· 3+ years combined development with integrating with Microsoft SQL Server support.
· 2+ years of combined programming/scripting experience in any of the common languages such as C++, C#, Java, Perl, Shell etc
· 3 years integrating application servers with OSS platforms
· Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP and SSL protocols is required
3+ years development web based interfaces using WSDL
· Solid understanding and demonstratable experience with standard Internet technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, UDP, XML and SOAP
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
