Work Effort -Test Manager

Ensure compliance with Test Center of Excellence testing practices and framework.
Ensure conformance to CDE Test Organizational goals and objectives
Apply and adhere to appropriate standards and Systems guidelines, including but not limited to: SFTA, SCM, S/PIP, SDM, etc.
Represent and advocate quality and testing perspectives in product/project issue and risk management decisions.
Provide work effort quality risk analysis and participate in work effort release "go/no go" decisions
Represent and advocate quality and testing perspectives in project issue and risk management decisions.
Mentor and coach project teams on quality expectations from Tier 1 testing.
Manage Expectations on Integration Testing and all Tier 1 testing. Ensure adherence with entrance and exit criteria.
Assign responsibilities and set expectations for test resources during Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 testing.
Review the test schedule and milestones with the PM and/or Test Specialist as needed.
Enable Test Teams to work with the appropriate development teams, (architects, technical leads, designers, coders to ensure their understanding of the detailed application and to validate unit-level tests and integration tests are performed properly so entrance criteria for testing is met and defects are found as early as possible in the delivery cycle.
Ensure test teams review test results and assess defect impact and project quality
Report test status and progress against milestones to Project Managers and Development Centers leadership.
Monitor and communicate appropriate metrics describing progress and quality
Participate in and facilitate walkthroughs and reviews of key testing deliverables and documentation.
Identify lessons learned and adjust efforts as appropriate
Provide support, guidance, training, and mentoring to peers and team members as needed
