Associate Director, Application Development
Function :
The Senior Software Developer provides technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project, with specific focus on large scale website redesign projects and enterprise solutions. This individual is responsible for leading the design, user interface, and technology integration of projects. The successful candidate will become a trusted partner to the internal team and will interface with client technology and management teams. This individual is a key contributor to the overall proposal and architecture, and a driver of the implementation of practical technical solutions that are in accordance with client business requirements.
Responsibilities :
• Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of software and infrastructure for robust websites and web applications
• Assist in the design of solutions to our client's digital marketing problems and taking a lead role in the technical design and architecture processes
• Engage with clients' technical staff to ensure solutions integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure and standards.
• Assist the Associate Director in translating client programs, issues, and problems into accurate Statement of Work estimates
• Work with appropriate cross-capability staff to drive and complete complex technical requirements, taking a lead role in technical requirements and the requirements definition process
• Own the successful delivery of our technical projects on-time and within scope
• Use effective listening skills to react to and resolve issues, and identify opportunities
Qualifications & Skills :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in software development
• Ability to architect solutions with multiple logical and physical tiers using design patterns and best practices
• Expert, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft technologies: .NET, ASP.NET, C#, WCF, WWF, MVC, LINQ
• Proficiency in Web development technologies: HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JSON
• Strong background in Web services, SOA, and 3rd party data integration
• Strong relational database background and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and writing complex stored procedures
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and testing principles
• Understanding of Web Analytics solutions such as Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, Webtrends, or Coremetrics is a plus
• Experience with .NET-based content management systems (e.g. Sitecore, Ektron, DotNetNuke), application servers, portal frameworks, CRM, and ecommerce servers is a plus
• Ability to grow and change with existing and emerging technologies
• Solid written and verbal communications skills
• Capacity to identify creative solutions to difficult problems
• Experience at an agency/consultancy is a plus
