The Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

-Primary responsibility to deploy and configure LAN, WAN, security, and wireless infrastructure

- Act as an subject matter expert (SME) and also provide 3rd level support for LAN, WAN, security and wireless related incidents

- Evaluate and test new technologies and offerings from various vendors and make recommendations

- Develop or update network documentation and diagrams

Required Skills:

- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco routers (ISR, ASR), switches (Catalyst, Nexus), firewalls (PIX, ASA)

- Knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, IPSec, GRE, Multicast - Hands-on experience with traffic monitoring and management tools for NBAR and NetFlow

- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a large enterprise network in a design, engineering, or architecture role

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills & able to clearly articulate complex issues

- Team player with proven track record of successful project delivery

- Motivated self starter

- Excellent attention to detail

Desired Skills:

- Experience with Riverbed WAN acceleration

- Experience with F5 load management

- Experience with Checkpoint firewalls

- Experience with Ciena DWDM equipment

- Experience with HP TippingPoint IPS

Ideal candidate will have solid Oracle/RAC. Candidates should be familiar with working in environments using SAP ECC 6.0 and Siebel 8 or 8.1.#, and recent releases of the Oracle database compatible with Siebel 8.1. We have not determined the exact version of the db yet. This resource will assist the with the installation of the databases, optimizing performance for Siebel and working the admins on the Siebel installations as well. Also, working with the integration leads to be sure data movement between environments is seamless.
