POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is part developer and part tester.  The title of this role comes from Google (reference the book 'How Google Tests Software'), and the candidate consists of a person that has a degree in computer science, can development in the language the software they test is written in (for us, that would be C#), and is familiar with unit testing practices and tools.

Here are the qualifications we are looking for:

Must Have:

·         Associates/Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science discipline minimum

·         Knowledge in developing C#

·         Knowledge of .NET Frameworks 2.0, 3.5 and some 4.0

·         Experience in Visual Studio

·         Experience writing automated tests in MSUNIT (Microsoft's Unit Testing Framework

·         Experience using Team Foundation Studio (source control system)

·         PLS Culture

Nice To Have:

·         Experience in virtualization (Hyper-V)

·         Experience in Server Center Virtual Machine Management use (especially virtual machine and environment template creation)

·         Experience in Team Foundation Server Lab Management (virtual testing lab setup/use)

·         Experience in Team Foundation Server work items

·         Experience using additional unit testing frameworks and mocking frameworks

 

What This Position Will Do:

·         Assist in creating unit testing frameworks around existing code

·         Work directly for the Development Manager (myself), and coordinate and assist on key projects each cycle with Development Team Leads

·         Use Team Foundation Server to automate testing and virtual testing labs

·         Train and assist developers on creating their own testing environments around their projects

Use Team Foundation Server to track and report development progress through test-driven development practices.

Keep looking for a functional/technical payroll consultant with PTO Accrual plan experience. Client has realized that their requirements are more functional than technical, their need is configuring the PTO Accrual components in the application.
We need to design and configure a PTO accrual plan for a Canadian company we just acquired. Functional aspects are an understanding Canadian practices related to PTO accruals and ability to configure needed elements and plan structures in the application. Technical aspects are building the needed reports once the elements, plan structure, and data are in place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Responsible for supporting and providing technical leadership for IIS platforms.  Responsibilities include being part of a high performing team and partnering with key platform members and infrastructure across the company.

 

JOB PURPOSE: 

This position will be responsible for managing a team of resources responsible for enterprise IIS and SQL Server technology platforms that align with the company goals, objectives and direction. In addition, this role is also responsible for supporting highly available and scalable IIS and SQL Server environments as well as establishing best operational practices and to introduce operational efficiencies via automation and process improvements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Lead and participate in design review sessions for IIS.

·         Assist in the mentoring and coaching oaf team members.

·         Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to environment related issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment.

·         Actively monitor the IIS hosting environment and SQL databases to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses.

·         Responsible for coordinating projects as a technical lead, providing design and implementation standards to team members.

·         Provide technical leadership to outsourced global development team thru project leadership and technical documentation and outage management.

·         Establish and maintain operational metrics that align to customer experience.

·         Drive efficiencies through automation and operational excellence.

·         Demonstrate a strong sense of internal customer satisfaction as a top priority.

·         Provide on-going communication of status of projects and implementation.

·         Create a positive, supportive, and team-focused working environment.

·         Play a proactive role in developing and applying "Best in Class" approaches/practices to our operational readiness.

·         Partner with the Solution Architecture / Delivery team to establish sound handoffs and detailed documentation standards before new builds are accepted into the production environment.

·         Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to database issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment.

·         Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to establish platform standards and best practices.

·         Provide input towards the direction of future technology for web environments and .NET technologies

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·         B.S. degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or other technical discipline.

·         7+ years of technical experience in SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and IIS 5,6,7.*  production environments

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·         Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.

·         Available 24/7/365

·         Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff members and support and manage projects in multiple locations across the United States and Internationally.

·         7+ years working in different Windows Enterprise Server version ( Windows 2000, 2003, 2008)

·         5+ years of Web Architect experience hosting IIS-based solutions.

·         5+ years of experience in setting up VB, ASP, .NET2.0, 3.5 applications.

·         Minimum 3 years of  PowerShell and/or VBScript.

·         1+ year of development experience desired but not required.

·         1 +year of working knowledge in cloud computing environment is desired but not must.

·         Performance tuning of web servers, applications hosting in IIS

·         Configuration of parameters to tune web servers.

·         Configuration of DB Parameters optimization

·         Clustering at Web server level, for farm deployment

·         Configuration of IIS Webserver for n-tier apps for high volume site

·         Data compression, http compression.

·         Configuration of app to use the Web services, Integration platforms, 3rd party components

·         Minimum of 4 years SQL general administration (optimization/installation/configure).

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
