This candidate will participate in multidisciplinary effort and collaborate with various software architects and engineers in the development of virtualization software solutions on HP computers. This individual will lead the development of core Windows Service and related components. Primary focus will be on developing Win32 service and inter-process communication.

Knowledge and Skills:

7+ years of experience in C/C++, C# and Win32 APIs on Windows.
Solid experience in writing Windows services.
Strong expertise in Windows OS internals.
Demonstrated expertise with tools and techniques used in Windows debugging.
Experience with developing Windows drivers is a strong plus.
Experience with developing InstallShield based Installer application is a strong plus.
Cross platform development experience in Linux is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter

Description:

This job involves working in the Linux kernel and Networking stack so that it runs on new platforms, as well as optimizing the system for performance, power and responsiveness.

This entails Analyzing gaps in Linux kernel and drivers on specific platforms system performance enhancements working in Linux networking, esp. enabling wifi on latest modules

Creating functional/design documentation where necessary

Working with QA to ensure proper test coverage

Knowledge and Skills

5+ years of software development experience in Linux on x86 PCs

Excellent in C programming, OS concepts and Linux internals

Ability to understand and modify shell scripts and daemons

Linux networking experience is a strong plus

Linux security experience is a plus

Must be able to write functional/design documentation

Must be able to write and execute unit test plans

Ability to analyze, isolate, describe and prioritize defects in a complex software/hardware environment

Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
