Location: Nashville, TN or Victoria, Canada
Duration: 12 months
(4 Openings)
Need F2F after Telephonic.
MUST:
- Silverlight, C#, .NET and SQL.
- WPF will work instead of Silverlight if needed
- 2 years (Silverlight) or (WPF)
- 5 years as software Developer
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
D2D:
• Actively participate as a project team member in the analysis, design, and implementation of software products
• Work with the team and project management to create project plans and schedules
• Identify project risks and bring them to the attention of project management
• Perform project tasks diligently and within project deadlines
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
PLUS:
• Current or past expertise in at least 2 programming languages (e.g. C#, C/C++, Java, etc.)
• Expertise in at least 1 scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
• Experience with 2 or more relational database management systems (e.g. MSSQL Server, MySQL, PostgrSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience with 2 or more version control tools (e.g. TFS, SVN, Perforce, etc.)
• Experience with 2 or more defect tracking/workflow systems (e.g. TFS, Quality Center, Bugzilla, Jira, FogBugz, etc.)
• Experience with at least 1 build tool/build management system (e.g. MSBuild, Make, Ant/Cruise Control, scons, etc.)
• Experience with various software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Lean, XP, Waterfall, etc.)
• Experience in the Power or Energy Management domain
• Experience with C/C++, ADO/ADO.Net, Classic ASP, ASP.Net, XML, MS Reporting Services, COM/DCOM, Win32 API, OPC, Modbus, .Net Remoting
• Experience developing SCADA or industrial control software an asset.
