Description:
The purpose of this Task Order is to provide for the development of a web-based interface to access, view, retrieve and print data and documents from Oracle 10g and 11g databases This work will be completed under the direction and guidance of permanent staff
The person in this position is responsible for writing and optimizing Stored Procedures and Data Access functions for Oracle 10g and 11g databases. The majority of the work assigned will involve the design and development of new web applications. The work assigned to this person will include the creation of graphical user interfaces and code development that addresses the business need in the agreed-upon time frame. This person will be responsible for developing time estimates and identifying project milestones.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Selected candidate must have a minimum of 5 (five) years experience in the design of n-tier applications with Visual Studio .NET 2.0 or above including a minimum of 1 (one) year of experience with .NET 3.5.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of solid web application development experience with n-tier applications using IIS/MTS, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, Javascript and web-service.
- Demonstrate experience in development of web applications using n-tier architecture in a Windows .net environment.
- Experience with developing applications that process large data volumes.
- The selected candidate must demonstrate experience in development of web applications using n-tier architecture in a Windows .net environment, experience in developing business services objects, and demonstrated experience in the design of web sites and the use of GUI tools.
- Additional necessary skills include proven communications, both written and verbal, the ability to take direction as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasks.
