Client is looking for Embedded UI Developer - Alviso, CA. This is a 6+ months Contract position. The Hourly rate is $60/hr.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement cutting-edge features and user interfaces.
· Drive adoption of best practices for software development.
· Collaborate intensively with some of the most talented people alive.
· Optimize the television experience.
· Thrill millions of fans around the world.
Qualifications:
· Solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals and Object Oriented Programming and Design.
· Increasingly responsible work on two or more significant software projects.
· Broad understanding of graphical user interfaces.
· Fluency in C++.
· Exposure to user interface tools, such as Cocoa, Swing, Flash, AJAX.
· Facility for connecting UI apps with backend systems, making them sing.
· Skill in analyzing performance issues, re-factoring, optimizing complex code.
· Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Collaborative attitude, focus on working together to deliver the best products.
· Experience developing on, or deploying to Linux/Unix platforms.
· BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
· Must enjoy working on strong teams to develop leading software.
· Experience developing world-class, consumer-facing software, fluency in ActionScript and experience with embedded systems, especially TV set-top boxes is a plus.
