Rate: $45/hr W2 with no benefits OR $50/hr C2C/1099

Position: Quality Assurance/Testing Specialist
Location: JACKSONVILLE, FL
Duration: 6 Months

* Work with Instructional Design team in preparing of test plans, scripts and software tools for the purpose of application regression testing.
* Facilitate testing activity, document and report on defects, and be accountable for the overall testing process.
* A strong candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to articulate at a high level both verbal and written.
* This role will also be charged with identifying technical issues between desktop OS and application and determining a course of action.
* Strong Windows XP and Windows 7 credentials (MCTS Certification) are required at a minimum.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare a test plan and test scripts to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results
* Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through testing phases
* Prepare and maintain test plans for use on automated testing tools
* Provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements
* Determine legacy application issues and identify resolutions on Windows 7 desktops "

Provide estimates and feedback to the Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes Required Skillsets:
* Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes
* Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces
* Detailed knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing
* Experience of testing using test tools such as HP s Quality Center and Sprinter
* Experience of testing Windows based applications produced in Adobe Flash
* Experience in writing technical documentation and reports to support defect analysis of testing activity
* Possess a commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
* Expert knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 desktop environments.
* MCTS Windows 7 preferred
