Details of Position:

The successful candidate must have knowledge of and proficiency in HTML, Web Development using J2EE, Javascript, Java Beans, Java Servlets, Object Oriented Analysis and Design. The candidate should have knowledge of and proficiency with XML, Web Services/SOAP, UNIX, Linux application development, GUI design, BEA programming design, CVS, and TeamTrack™. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and IT work experience is required. This position requires a minimum of 3 - 5 year of web development experience.

Project Details:

will be working on the international forms re-write. This will be adding functionality to an application built 5 years ago. The application is on the ups website under international shipping and tells you what forms are required to ship to certain locations and then presents the forms for you to fill out and print or submit electronically. The current version has very little web 2.0 functionality. There is a team of 5 that supports this application and these 9 (2 already hired) developers will be brought in to supplement and finish the project by the end of July 2012

Technical Must Haves:

J2EE (3-5 yrs ideal)-heavy design, code, unit testing

Mainly front end development 60% with 40% core development

Weblogic vs. 10 for middle tier

EJB 2.0

Strong Java/J2EE experience in a large enterprise environment
