*We are looking for an individual with a background in medical, mathematical, statistical analysis, and SQL to join our medical informatics team in Franklin, Tennessee. 

 

The role of the Informatics Analyst will be to assist in the analysis and reporting of preauthorization data and claims data using business intelligence tools, mathematical, statistical, analytical techniques, deliver metrics, present findings and make actionable recommendations, report, track and recommend to better understand healthcare trends and further develop our proprietary Predictive Radiology Intelligence systems.

Job Duties

• Analyze clinical healthcare data
• Analyze healthcare claims data
• Present findings and make actionable recommendations in written and verbal form
• Work independently without constant supervision
• Provide optimum customer service

Essential Core Skills

• Ability to write complex SQL queries
• Statistical/Mathematical education, background and work experience
• Healthcare experience, background and work experience
• Understanding of healthcare preauthorization and claims data
• Strong understanding of diagnosis and procedure coding terminology
• Strong investigative skills with ability to search beyond the initial results
• Report Writing
• Data mining, regression, cluster analysis, predictive modeling, neural modeling
• Strong organization and time management capacity to balance multiple project priorities with limited supervision
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and work product validation
• Work with nurses and physicians

Related Core Skills

• Understanding of Health Care Terminology
• Radiology Procedures and Diagnostic Codes
• ICD9 coding
• Use of a statistical package i.e. SAS, SPSS, Minitab
• Use of a business intelligence suite like Cognos
• Structured Programming
