Software QA Engineer
* Meets the business and technical requirements that guided its design
and development * Works as expected * Can be implemented with the same
characteristics
* Analyze specifications and user stories * Interview Business
Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, other QA-Doc personnel *
Research pertinent information related to the assigned scope of work *
Design, write, and execute complex test cases * May identify test
cases that are suitable for automation, develop automation test
scripts, and/or design and implement automation framework
enhancements; may execute automated test cases * Identify defects and
questionable functions; manage and coordinate resolution of defects
through to closure * Identify deviations from coding and other
standards and inconsistencies across programs * Prepare own schedule
based on business priorities * * May be involved in configuration
management * Participate in peer review of design documentation, code,
and test documentation * May assist with Test Plan creation and status
reporting
* >5 Yrs software testing, information technology, or related
experience * Knowledge of automation testing, manual testing methods,
and testing standards * Knowledge of MS operating systems, and basic
scripting and programming * Knowledge of defect tracking tool(s) *
Understands software product lifecycle and the role that SQAE plays in
ensuring quality and safety of software * Excellent verbal and written
communication skills * Strong analytical and problem solving skills *
Strong team player * Good organization skills. Must be able to handle
multiple tasks concurrently * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Information Science, Management Information System or a related field
or equivalent-related job experience
