--Imageright blocking.

--Troubleshooting SQL Server Jobs failure.

--Restoring a database to a previous state (that day morning or a previous day night).

 

Administration / Maintenance (50 %)

--DB creations / other database administration stuff (new databases or logins, etc).

--Monitoring SQL Server Jobs on all Prod and Test Servers.

--Disk Free Space Monitoring (Email Alerting is in place on critical ProdServers).

--Data File Free Space monitoring.

--SMIC DB Servers Monitoring.

--Any random alert based monitoring and troubleshooting.

--Monitoring Tivoli Backups of SQL Server database backups.

--Monitoring CIFS LUN for the latest backups being copied.

--Database Tuning and monitoring weekly / daily SQL Agent jobs.

--Query tuning (WP, IR and Siebel).

 

New/Current Projects (25 %)

--SQL Server 2008 R2 Migration (both Test and Prod).

--SSIS Packages for feeds from / to Oracle (as and when they come).

--Imageright_Nologging project.

--Imageright_bpr and Imageright_bpr_dw move off to SQLSRVP1.

--Migrating DTS packages to SSIS packages on Prod WritePro.

 

Top 3 Skills: Must Haves:

--SQL DBA (2000/2005)

--SQL Support - backups, restores, and disaster recovery

--SQL Clustering experience

 

Pluses:

--Insurance Industry experience

 

Management would like a candidate who is Mid to Senior, preferably not junior level (target around 5 years experience with SQL.
