Oracle TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

 

Location- Bloomington, IL. Candidate must be willing to travel 60%.

Full Time or contact (Long Term)

 

TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

·        Should have 10+ years of experience in software development, requirement gathering.

·        Should have 6+ years of US customer handling experience.

·        Must have deep experience in database designing – primarily Oracle.

·        Should have in-depth knowledge of Oracle architecture of 10G and 11i

·        Should have worked on application tuning,  (Different Alternative solutions to improve performance / scalability of application, Execution plans, Automatic Performance Diagnostics and Query tuning).

·        Should have sound knowledge of database design principles and Data partitioning.

·        Should have experience of interfacing with external application, error frame works, etc.

·        Should be able to understand the technical requirement with implicit non-functional requirement.

·        Should be able to handle the team effectively, by grooming, identifying the training need, etc.

·        Should be able to estimate based on size and technology.

·        Should be able to identify and mitigate security related threats to application.

·        Should have P&C domain knowledge.

·        Should be able to take technical requirement considering business use and need.

·        Take ownership of the technical quality & cost of quality.  Identify generic solution patterns to reduce complexity and cost of development.

 

Quickly assesses multifaceted problems and complex situations. Recognizes patterns and distinguishes the root cause. Anticipates obstacles and thinks through the likely impact of the alternative proposal/solutions. Analyses, interprets data and draws inferences. Reports updates upwards proactively. Escalates issues in a timely manner.  Ensures closure and resolution of the same. Builds checks in the team to ensure timely escalations.
