Position: SAP Business Objects WebI Developer
Location: New York City
Duration: 6 Months
This position is for an expert Business Objects WebI developer. The ideal candidate must be a Business Objects Ninja that knows the entire system and has real world experience. This person will be responsible for all WebI development, unit testing and deployment, must be a senior level Business Objects WebI Designer.
The WebI Consultant/Developer is responsible and accountable for all Business Objects Development deliverables provided by the Enterprise reporting team. This includes requirement gathering for WebI development efforts and recommend architectural changes if needed to SAP Business Objects Universe(s).
Acts as primary lead resource and accountable for all Business Objects WebI team deliverables. Initiates, architects, designs and leads WebI and report development, enhancements, and production. Also responsible for security, scheduling, publishing, meta data management and performance tuning of Web Intelligence.
This position requires demonstrated technical, architectural and leadership skills combined with in-depth analytical and system management skills and specific expertise in Business Objects WebI implementation. The incumbent will possess a thorough understanding of the use of business intelligence concepts and tools in aid of presentation and analysis of data
Responsibilities
Work with cross functional Universe Development and IT teams and develop WebI Documents
Translates functional requirements into technical specifications
Expertise in using LCM for version management of the WebI documents.
Act as gatekeeper for all the WebI documents
Recommend and take lead on new ideas of implementation of WebI.
Should be thorough on documenting the test cases and Unit testing
Provides technical leadership on BO WebI
Performs code walkthroughs and formal reviews
Contributes and reviews technical SDLC documentation
Creates and maintains BO WebI
Develops BO designs and supporting documentation
Ensures adherence to locally defined standards and create/recommend any new standards for all developed components

This position is for a seasoned Business Objects Specialist with real world experience. This person will be responsible for all BO activities and must be a senior level Business Objects Universe Designer.
The Business Objects Lead Consultant/Developer is responsible and accountable for all Business Objects Development deliverables provided by the Enterprise reporting team. This includes architecture, design and implementation and support of solutions using the Business Objects Enterprise Server, Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence and Xcelsius platforms. Also included is managing, securing, scheduling and publishing Enterprise Server Content.
Acts as primary lead resource and accountable for all Business Objects team deliverables. Consult directly with clients and systems analysts to define Business Intelligence /Reporting requirements for all subject areas. Initiates, architects, designs and leads universe and report development, enhancements, and production. Also responsible for security, scheduling, publishing, meta data management and performance tuning of Web Intelligence, Xcelsius Dashboards, and Crystal Reports.
This position requires demonstrated technical, architectural and leadership skills combined with in-depth analytical and system management skills and specific expertise in Business Objects implementation. The incumbent will possess a thorough understanding of the use of business intelligence concepts and tools in aid of presentation and analysis of data.

Work with cross functional Business and IT teams of business analysts, data modelers, solution architects, dba's and project managers during all SDLC phases
Translates functional requirements into technical specifications
Performs code walkthroughs and formal reviews
Contributes and reviews technical SDLC documentation
Uses the BO platform to develop Universe(s), Webi, and Crystal Reports
Develops BO designs and supporting documentation
Metadata Management using BO SDK
Ensures adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components
Provide production support on defects or change requests
Participates in design and development reviews
