Job Title: PeopleSoft DBA w/Oracle DBA exp..
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 3-6 months
Job Description:
The Consultant personnel will be migrating Peoplesoft database between Datacenters and also upgrade Peoplesoft database from 10g to 11gR2. Consultant resource would have prior experience working with SOX database/system and working knowledge of standard IT Sox control processes.
Stated below is the typical nature of activities expected to be performed by the Consultant's resource. The list below is indicative of high level implementation activities required to be performed
Oracle Database Administrator – Key skills Area:
Database Administration Oracle 10g – Oracle 11g.
Database upgrade from 10g to 11g.
Prior experience on database migration projects a plus.
Backup/cloning Activities using RMAN as needed.
Experience with Oracle Advance Security products.
Hands on experience with Oracle transparent data encryption, network encryption, backup encryption.
Database encryption/decryption Key management.
Hands on experience in managing security for Peoplesoft database(big plus).
Experience working DB vault and audit vault(nice to have).
Specific Scope details
Migration and upgrade Peoplesoft databases from 1 datacenter to another cloud datacenter.
Provide valuable suggestions during planning and execution phase to reduce downtime and improve migration/upgrade process.
Create detailed step by step documentation for every process and tasks.
Setup Dev, Test, Demo, Stage, QA and Production environment.
Setup Database Backup using RMAN and enable encryption.
Setup Alerting/Monitoring of DB Oracle Grid/Custom scripts.
Setup Logical access on databases as needed.
Applying Database Patches (including CPU patches).
Perform Database upgrades.
Define and follow SOP where applicable.
Enable transparent database encryption, if needed.
Enable database network encryption, if needed.
Environment details
Database Technology – Oracle 11gR2 ( v 11.2.0.3), Oracle 10.2.0.3.
Oracle Peoplesoft environment.
Platform Supported AIX, Linux.
Backup Recovery using Oracle's RMAN combination with netbackup & Tivoli(TSM) technology.
