The nature of the work is focused on defining tools and processes to support overall organizational excellence in program/project management and process definition. Vision and Strategy: Develops vision, strategy and deliverables of the large international Program. Ensures program is aligned with business strategies and budgets. Owns the business case for the Program, establishes and maintains cross functional and regional coordination. Organization, Planning and Execution: Maintains ultimate responsibility regarding program objectives operating within financial and resource constraints; Manages project dependencies within the program and builds the program team. Ensures vendor contracts, relationships, performance, and communications are well managed. Project Management Support: Ensures proper Project Management staffing for all projects within the program; helps develop project objectives and project scope. Act as an escalation point for project issues that impact projects' cost, schedule and / or performance. Chairs program steering committee meetings.
Duties:
- Work in eCommerce and Agile managing more than one project at a time
- Manage and provide transparency to commitments (scope, cost, schedule), risks, and confidence level
- Lead technology release level planning with engineering, quality and peers, successfully managing parallel engineering programs and a complex platform for quality deliveries
- Escalation point to solve complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
- Manage expectations & risk by leveraging agile tools including short frequent iterations, measuring results & continuous improvement
- Find the best solution for the company and lead project delivery, whether the solution option is internal, external development, or a combination.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, architecture, and engineering directors to create and maintain a digital roadmap
- Maintain breadth & relationships to represent Digital capability vision & pull in the help needed.
- Keep abreast of the latest digital trends and process methodologies. Determine how they might influence our business processes, tools, and systems – what we deliver and how
Skills:
Around 10 years professional experience, 7 years project/program management experience, experience delivering global or multiple regional projects experience with formal project management methodology.
- Experience in eCommerce, and Agile environments
- Experience in leading technical projects in an large scale Agile delivery environment
- Significant experience in technical release level deployment plans and execution
- Strong preference for experience with high-availability and consumer-facing applications
- Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences
- Demonstrated success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems, gathering information, generating options; then proposing and acting on a course of action.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Proven ability to pull together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions
- Track record of leading others & positive change in project definition, project delivery, and process improvement
- Past success in creating high performance teams, inspiring and empowering them to achieve results
- Contract and partnership success with demonstrated ability to build partnerships across boundaries
- Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how technology can enable achieving revenue and profit goals
- Successful track record dealing with executive level professionals to drive business outcomes
- Experience creating project estimates and managing to the budget desired
- Preference for experience with leading projects involving external creative agencies
- Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation
