Job Title: Cobol Developer

Start Date: 2/19/2013

End Date: 2/18/2015

Location: Albany, NY, US

Max Hourly Rate: USD $TBD

Visa: Only H1B, GC and US Citizen,(No Opt or H4 Visa)

 

Position Functions or Responsibilities:

We are seeking to hire a Mainframe Cobol Developer in our Albany NY office. The operation is an ongoing effort to provide the development, maintenance, and support activities on across our organization. This system is a complex and highly integrated application which consists of several development and end user supported environments. These environments interface/interact with legacy applications and other 3rd party software.

The following activities are indicative of the assignments/outcomes expected of this individual:

·         Analyzing, designing, developing and testing for all aspects of this Medical Certification application.

·         Data analysis, data migration, component development and integration, reporting, performance, batch jobs and testing.

·         Will assist the project team with IT related tasks as directed by the IT Lead.

·         Required Experience:

·         Must have a minimum of 6 years experience working with COBOL.

·         Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications- Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions.

·         Candidate is able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others.R

- 72 Months CA Endevor

- 72 Months CICS

- 72 Months Advanced SQL

- 72 Months Data Analysis and Design

- 36 Months development using SOA
