The EPMA Architecture Team - Application Architecture Team provides direction on, and serves as the escalation point for application architecture (including BI data delivery capabilities). Key Activities
Primary point of contact for business and systems areas for architecture definition and discussion of work requests/business cases. This includes:
Responsibility for high level application design. High level design includes determining partitioning of solutions into applications/services and defines application/service interactions.
Ensure tech and data are brought to the table at the appropriate time in conversations with the business on solution definition.
Provide larger solution context to project designers, developers and test analysts.
Strategic planning and road mapping with business partners.
Establish strategic direction for application architecture.
Early identification of proof of concepts and research.
Participates in planning, prioritizing and packaging of work efforts.
Review Architectural Decision Documents (ADDs) and participate in creation as appropriate.
Serve as an escalation point for architectural issues, risks, decisions coming from initiatives/releases and service areas.
Align application design process with evolving enterprise directions and provide input on setting departmental directions for Application Architecture.
Participate in horizontal business efforts. Horizontal efforts define logical business function/process across all lines and access points and align work between multiple portfolios. Participate, as appropriate, in design reviews for work efforts in other solution centers when integration points and/or reusable components/services are built.
EPMA - Real Time Analytics Research and Recommendations which resource needed to perform Industry Research, Research Trends and Solutions, Identify Gaps and feasibility with existing products, brainstorm and design real time or near real time solutions, come up with recommendations
