UI Designer

Location: Commerce, CA

Required Technical Skill Set    User Interface Designing
Desired Experience Range    5-7 years
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have   
1.    Experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs.
2.    Experience with asynchronous web frameworks like GWT.
3.    Have developed or supported operationally critical UI applications.
4.    Development of custom web parts.
5.    Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability.
6.    Knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues
7.    Keen eye for cutting edge imagery, layout, typography, color, and otherwise solid understanding of visual communication.
8.    Knowledge of information architecture and usability
Good-to-Have   
1.    Knowledge of evolving Web standards, HTML5 + CSS3
2.    Ability to multitask across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced and team-based environment
3.    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
4.    Experience showing flexibility to cope with a changing environment and short deadlines

SN    Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1    Translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs.
2    Apply User Centered Design strategies to define, model, design and code intuitive, functional, and well-designed web and application interfaces.
3    Participate in all stages of interface development life-cycle from initial concept, gathering requirements, and conducting stakeholder interviews, high and low fidelity prototypes, development, testing and deployment.
4    Understand, analyze and provide recommendations for improvement of existing processes and process integration while translating Business/Department needs into features and customizations for their sites.
5    Good communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) 
6    Prioritize assignments, handles shifting deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team environment.
