Role: Release Execution Manager

Skills/Attributes Required

Education/Experience

·         Experience in SAP Functionality

 

Core Skills

·         Expert functional knowledge of GOC Release Management processes

·         Expert functional knowledge of SOX requirements for Change Implementation

·         Goal and result oriented / Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal flexibility

Excellent organization and Customer facing service skills / Conflict Management

Responsibilities/Tasks:

RFC Change Supervisor Role

·         Review and validate all RFC information including all attached artifacts

·         Validate CIs to be changed, impacted CIs and Impact Types

·         Validate the RFC planned dates/times and planned downtime dates/times

·         Schedule and confirm implementation resources; assign a resource name to each implementation task.

·         Validate the implementation task list, including dependencies

·         Enter the dates / times in the implementation tasks

·         Validate OVO outage records for owned CIs

·         Work with cross domain Change Supervisor or Change Coordinator to add required implementation tasks

 

RFC Change Implementer Role [Release Rehearsal]

·         Timing Imports, Queue Prep, Check Predecessor / Dependency warnings, and Sequencing

·         Drive Action Plan and create Object Reports as required

·         Resolve issues and provide oversight to Direct Changes

·         Locking and unlocking of STMS

·         Opening and Closing of systems for direct changes and customizing.

·         Moving Approved Changes to Regression Environment

 

RFC Change Implementer Role [MTP]

·         Handshake with Application Event Management (AEM) for quiet time

·         Lock / Unlock Table update and Sequencing / Import Queue Prep

·         Opening and Closing of systems for direct changes and customizing.

·         Move changes to production, resolve Direct Change issues

·         On call for Release follow up / fallout

·         SME (Subject Matter Expert) for SOX (Change Implementation)

Key Coordination Points

Application Project Mgr / IT Development Teams

GOC ERP Platform Leads

GOC ERP SAP Basis Planners
