Job Title : SQL & Informatica Developer
Location: Stevens Point, WI
Duration: 2.5 months

 

We have received very senior Informatica developers, and aren't sure if people at that level would be interested working in a production environment with SQL.
They need to be very strong with MS SQL Server 2008+. We're getting people with PL/SQL, Oracle, etc.

 

Requirements:
Experience utilizing SQL Server 2008 and above. Must have experience with Stored Procedure Development, as well as Select, Update and Delete statements.
Familiarity with database structure, design, and dimensional databases.
Experience utilizing Informatica 9.x. Must have experience with: creating / updating mappings, sessions and workflows; Router, Union transformation types; Normalizer, Filter, Joiner, Lookup, Stored Procedure, Aggregator, HTTP and Sorter transformation types; expression syntax; Source Qualifier transformations configured to use SQL Select statements as an override; creating / updating parameter files; debugging and understanding session error logs; and integration test and system test of mappings.
Experience with data warehouses / data marts, and reading of data models, specifically star and snowflake schemas.
Desired: Performance tuning ( Informatica 9.x / SQL Server 2008 and above); Microsoft SSAS Cube development and support; Pre SQL and Post SQL functionality ( Informatica 9.x); reusable objects (Informatica 9.x); Insurance / Financial industry experience.

 

ACCOUNT MANAGER NOTES:
HEADLINE: SQL & Informatica Dev/Analyst w/SQL Server 2008+; Stored Procedure Development; high-level Informatica 9.x; & exp. w/DW & data marts, & reading of data models (star/snowflake schemas); who will work in Stevens Point, WI on a contract through the end of the year.

 

The 3 must haves for this role are: 1) SQL Server (most important) querying, stored procedures, analysis, etc. SQL Server 2008 is a must have; 2012 is a nice to have; 2) High-level Informatica experience/knowledge; they have multiple source systems, and most of them source out of SQL Server, but feed into Informatica, so they need to have an understanding of troubleshooting existing mappings/workflows; there isn't any new development; the more detailed Informatica experience isn't as crucial as having a high-level understanding; they recently updated to 9.5.1, but 9.x experience will suffice; 3) Data Warehouse/Data Mart experience/knowledge; experience beyond typical relational database structure (i.e. star schemas). Experience with SSAS Cubes is great, but not a top requirement. Performance tuning experience is another nice to have. This person must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
