Title: Lead Big Data Developer
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Length: 6 months + renewal
We are looking for a talented Lead "Big Data" Developer to join a team of skilled information systems and technology consultants for a client of ours in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
Job Details:
• Team lead and strong individual contributor developing the next generation big data processing platform.
• Work with the our client's delivery team to understand project and client requirements and issues
• Understand how the platform is being used to profile data sources and implement data processing solutions that ingest, cleanse, transform,
integrate, enhance and manage big data.
• Define and develop capabilities in the SourceThought platform to enable the delivery team to address client requirements and issues.
• Communicate and cooperate with product, delivery, documentation and QA teams.
Skills & Requirements
• 7+ years experience in browser based application development.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and experience with Agile methods.
• Prior experience with building large scale enterprise application or commercial software applications required
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Experience with NodeJS , MongoDB, Backbone, JQuery, Underscore, Bootstrap required.
• Experience with products in the area of ETL, data warehousing, data management, data quality and business intelligence a plus.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Pig, and Hive are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Passion for learning about new technologies.
• Desire to be part of a product team working in a fast paced, agile, entrepreneurial, and highly technical environment.
• A positive can-do attitude with a sense of urgency and ability to adjust to the changing priorities of a fast-paced culture.
• Good English skills.
• Bachelor's, masters or PhD degree in computer science, data/information science, engineering or related technical field.
