Responsibilities:
DESCRIPTION:
•The test engineer will be an integral part of the engineering development team and will be expected to test integrated software products from the early development stages to full completion
•Typical job duties include developing, organizing, and executing tests and test suites for functional, sanity, regression, performance, and system integration testing to ensure the engineering solutions meet the acceptance criteria based on product requirements and specifications
•Software products to be tested will be Windows based and will also be integrated with data acquisition hardware (sensors, sensor data concentrators, PLC controllers, wireless networks, routers, PCs, telecommunications devices and servers)
•Although the main job is to test software, willingness to learn and ability to work with these integral hardware systems at a functional level is expected
•Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop and maintain automated software tests using standard scripting languages and applications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Good communication and collaboration skills with analytical and problem solving attitude
•Detail and Quality oriented
•Adaptable and willing to learn new products and technologies
•Knowledge of and experience with the following products/systems is preferred: Windows 7 & XP, HP Quality Center, Microsoft Foundation Test Manager, MS SQL server, OPC server, VMware, TestComplete
•Knowledge of and/or experience with data acquisition and networking hardware/systems is desired
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
