Location: Richmond, VA (F2F Interview)
Duration :7-12 Months

Essential Job Responsibilities
Ø Participates as a high technical expert in design, development, coding, testing and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software.
Ø Works with other technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.
Ø Work with Architect and Development staff to follow technical standards and constraints, leveraging existing processes, and evaluating existing application/code.
Essential Qualifications/Experience
Ø 4 - 7 years of experience developing and supporting moderate to complex applications in a J2EE environment.
Ø 5+ years experience working with Native Java, JSP, JDBC, multiple browser development, Web Services, technologies.
Ø 3+ years experience working with UML Diagrams
Ø 7+ Years IT experience.
Ø Working knowledge of workflow concepts.
Ø Practical experience and knowledge in the following technologies and tools:
o Rapid Application Development (RAD)
o Persistence Mechanisms – JPA (Hibernate), Informatica , etc.
o Domain Modeling - Entities and Value objects
o Service- oriented architecture (SOA) principles
o Deploy and manage application on WebSphere Server
o J2EE patterns, GoF patterns and Refactoring principles
o Latest open source frameworks such as Spring/Hibernate/Grails etc
o Java Reporting
o Oracle 10g/11g
o Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) Tools (MS SQL Server 2008 - SSIS and DTS, etc.)
o Operating System Environments (Windows, Unix, etc.).
Ø Ability to write clear and concise technical documents.
Ø Ability to develop code in accordance to software governance for platform integration.
Ø Ability to be relied upon to complete a task or project with minimal supervision.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ø Proven customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience).
Ø Exposure to Agile development.
Ø Java Programmer’s Certification.
