Job Title :  Sr. AS/400 (iSeries) Engineer
Location : Dallas, TX
Duration : 6+ months

Required skills:
• At least 5+ years of iSeries experience with a focus on system performance and application optimization.
• Experience with running and monitoring batch jobs.
• Experience with gathering and documenting requirements.
• Fundamental understanding of performance testing methodologies, processes and general procedures.
• Ability to analyze and document problems and defects, reporting defects and track defect status.
• Ability to analyze test results and make valid conclusions; work with project teams to resolve performance issues.
• Responsible for communicating project status, resolving project issues, and ensuring effective process improvement feedback.

 

Nice to have skills (not required):
• Performance monitoring skills on other platforms (SQL Server, Tomcat, Apache…).
• Java and / or .NET application knowledge with a focus on application performance.
• WAS experience on the iSeries.
• Experience with performance tuning of iSeries programs, processes.
• Experience with Mercury Quality Center.
• Proficient in SQL.
