Position: Data Warehouse Developer (Netezza)

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 18+Months

 

SQL Scripting in a Linux shell environment on a Netezza platform

Data Warehouse developer that has expert understanding of database scripting and Data Warehouse development. Must have expert level PL/SQL/T-SQL skills. Any experience with ELT development is a big plus.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of Data Warehouse (EDW) development using PL/SQL or similar in Oracle, Teradata, or Netezza in a multi-terabyte database environment.

• 5+ years of database experience with enterprise database platforms, such as Oracle (10/11g) and/or Teradata/Natezza

• 10+ years of IT experience

• 2+ years of Unix shell scripting

• 2+ years of BI development with any major BI tools

• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and guide junior development team members

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Develop ELT scripts to integrate data in a Netezza based EDW

• Develop database Netezza SQL scripts to extract data into Qlikview tool

• Provide appropriate solution for building Data Marts into an enterprise data warehouse for faster throughput and performance

• Work with Informatica ETL developers and data modelers for data integration
