Junior SAP Basis Analyst
Provides technical support and thought leadership on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, systems configuration, design, and implementation.
Design, implement, and support all hardware and software systems that SAP is dependent upon and interfaces with (operating systems, hardware systems, DBMS, LAN, Storage, etc..).
Designs and develops SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions)
* Support of day-to-day operations of SAP systems and interfaces.
* SAP user and authorization administration; printer administration.
* Database system support, management, and administration.
* Operating system support of SAP systems and related interfaces.
* Audit functions related to SAP and IT systems.
* Ability to implement new products and enhance existing products and solutions.
* Familiarity with a variety of field*s concepts, best-practices, and procedures.
* Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing. Can articulate a system issue and the proposed solution easily to all levels of the organization.
* Acts as a primary input for subsequent build activities; sought out as a subject matter expert.
* Schedules and leads meetings.
* Trains junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work.
* Works with minimum supervision, conferring only with supervisor on unusual matters.
* Assignments are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish requirements and goals.
Qualifications, Educational Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience is required.
* 2-3 years of SAP Basis experience.
* 4-5 years of Information Technology/Architecture experience.
* Relational database design and client server concepts; specifically Microsoft SQL Server
* Solid working knowledge of hardware architecture including servers, storage, and LAN/WAN.
