Job Description:
- Mandatory skills (please enter all mandatory skills customer will look for)
- Perform 24X7 production support for Sybase and SQL Server
- Backups and Restoration of Databases.
- Installation of SQL Server 2000/2005
- Recovery of SQL server databases.
- Configuration of database maintenance plans in SQL server 2000/2005 to backup the databases.
- Setting up Automated SQL jobs for the Data Loading from flat file to SQL tables, stored procedures for aggregation and triggering SQL mail
- Support Sybase Databases on Solaris and Linux.
- Support SQL Server on WinTel platform
- Support Databases in a Veritas cluster
- Develop/Exercise Backup/Recovery procedures using RMAN
- Manage Incident Bridges
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis
Job Description: Good-to-have skills
- 5+ years experience as a Senior Database Administrator supporting enterprise class SQL environments.
Experience in the following disciplines:
- Oracle 11G
- Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.4 on Solaris 10
- Triage PL/ SQL performance tuning issues
- Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas File system
- Proven record of providing 24X7 on-call support in a dynamic multi-application environment
