Citrix NetScaler Engineer

 

Candidate will be responsible for the technical support of multiple Citrix NetScaler devices serving in an access gateway, reverse proxy and SSLVPN capacity. This role will ensure the business and technical requirements are delivered to support both internal and external business customers. The desired outcome is to ensure the smooth operation of remote access from the internet to internal systems in order to provide maximum performance, protection, and availability for users.

 

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Citrix NetScaler devices in the support of Citrix Access Gateway, Reverse Proxy and SSLVPN implementation

Assist in the migration of the current remote access solution hosted on Juniper SSLVPN to Citrix NetScaler

Assist in the migration of Microsoft ISA Reverse proxy to Citrix NetScaler, to include but not limited to, Exchange Active Sync, Outlook Web Access and Microsoft Lync

Assist in the migration of Check-Point SSLVPN for laptop users to Citrix NetScaler SSLVPN

Assist in the implementation of a global load balancer configuration using the Citrix NetScaler

Assist in the implementation of the NetScaler Load Balancer function to support internal application load distribution

Install, configuration and troubleshooting Citrix NetScaler Application Firewall function to support business requirements

Assist or lead various remote access related projects

Respond to trouble tickets, perform troubleshooting on the NetScaler

Maintain and administer remote access standards, documentation, processes and procedures

Monitor alarms of NetScaler systems

Work with a Global team concerning network and perimeter security and related LAN and WAN issues

Assist in the daily administration of the XenApp5 and 6.5 farms as needed

Participate on-call rotation is required

No travel is required

  

The preferred candidates will also meet the following criteria:

Certification in Citrix NetScaler (CCA for Citrix NetScaler) and/or Citrix ZenApp (6.0/6.5) (CCA for Citrix XenApp)

At least 6 years of experience in the operation of security software and hardware
