Job Description:

Overall responsibility and accountability for the architecture, design, development, release, and maintenance of data warehouse and business intelligence data, processes, systems and services across all company business functions.

This job works closely with all constituents to identify and maximize opportunities for using data warehouse systems to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable analysts and management to use these systems for improved, timely decision making.

• Develop strategy and coordinate across business, functional, and technical teams to ensure all business intelligence projects meet strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with process owner, Business unit, and ITS Management to translate corporate/functional business and information objectives into data warehouse business intelligence and translate
   them to strategic/tactical business plans and systems development.
• Develop the requirements of the data warehouse and the data marts leveraging the data mapping of Legacy data to JDE from the Focus project.
• Define the KPIs, measures, facts, and dimensions and model them in a meta-schema to facilitate rapid development of GUI for the Enterprise Reporting Initiative (ERI).
• Define and develop performance dashboards, pre-defined reports, and other GUI functions required to implement the ERI.
• Ensure cost-effective design managing global resources (on-shore and off-shore), development, engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the data warehouse, portal and
   business systems in support of business and information objectives and requirements.
• Maintain the ERI post-implementation conducting periodic user reviews, managing the change requests, and prioritizing and overseeing the implementation.
• Manage growth and direction of the data warehouse, portal and business systems.
• Maintain organizational balance and system coherency between front-end desktop/client environment, portal and data warehouse back-end processing functions.

Requirements:          

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and/or relevant equivalent experience.

• 5-7 years of demonstrated Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DW)experience involving multiple major development projects.
• 5 years of experience in GUI tools (OBIEE is required) for BI/DW, ETL tools, data warehouse design and development experience.
• Be able to demonstrate the following technical leadership skills: o Successfully developed and implemented new technologies and work processes.
• Demonstrated high competency in leading small teams of global (on-shore and off-shore) resources.
• Gained experience in leading high-performance teams implementing BI/DW projects.
• Demonstrated competency in defining requirements, design, development, and testing IT projects.
• Experience in project planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated online relational database systems across multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Experience in deploying an Enterprise Portal and utilizing Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience in the consumer products industry preferred, or in a production/service environment similar to that of Ventura Foods.
• At least 7 plus years experience in Oracle OBIEE business intelligence tools sets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques.
• Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and IS project life cycle methodologies
• Deep Knowledge of data warehouse, data mining, online reporting portals.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of business principles and business processes.
• Business process knowledge of manufacturing/service organizations.
• Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs, developing and delivering projects using (where appropriate) leading-edge technology.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for a variety of projects.
• Strong business planning skills, and project planning skills, effectively arranging resources and managing multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present and explain technical information in a way that: establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
