Position: PeopleSoft HCM Functional Lead

Chapel Hill, NC

Duration:  12 Months

Function as PeopleSoft HCM Functional Lead. The PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Functional Lead will be responsible for supporting the HR implementation of PeopleSoft for the one of our projects. This person will lead the functional team in the configuration, design, testing, and management of the HCM application within the our solution. This is for the implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1, providing the following services:

•              Provides functional expertise and leadership for PeopleSoft HCM.

•              Translates business requirements into configuration decisions.

•              Consults with business unit to obtain additional information during system design and development and evaluates alternatives to application modifications.

•              Documents functional business specifications and monitors the functional teams progress and quality of same.

•              Supports project management with task plans and updates for implementation activities.

•              Evaluates project issues related to scope change, resource and time constraints to provide consistent solution delivery.

•              Identifies project risks in advance and proactively mitigates these risks with appropriate steps.

•              Coordinates and conducts all phases of testing in support of the implementation.

•              Mentors and supports team members helping to increase knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM.

•              Provides business process expertise by understanding business direction and designing systems that will support key initiatives.

•              The contractor is expected to work a 40 hour week Monday through Friday (8 Hours per day) or Monday through Thursday (10 hours per day).  Local candidates should expect to work Monday through Friday.

 

A minimum of 3 years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM in a lead role is required, and preference is for candidates with at least 2 years of implementation experience with version 8.9 or greater.  Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS data structures, configuration and setup designs, and business processes within the application is required.

 

Familiarity with Oracle/PeopleSoft development technologies (PeopleCode, Application Designer, Component Interface, and Application Engine) sufficient to collaborate effectively with developers is desired.  Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communications skills are required.
