Requirements :

 

The Java Developer will analyze, design, code, implement and debug software system components for enterprise systems and is considered the subject matter expert on one or more system components. The Java Developer works on all phases of a system's development life cycle with an emphasis on analyzing complex business and technical problems to concurrently develop multiple software components.

 

Functional Specifications:

-Authors and analyzes business use cases and functional requirements for software system implementations.

-Assists with the customer communication and business analysis necessary to create functional requirements.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Education, Experience and Knowledge:

 

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Relevant experience in software development, information systems, or equivalent technical environment, including previous experience in the development of highly transactional, mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures for multi-user systems.

·         Strong knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support.

·         Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, Service Oriented Architecture and object-oriented programming methodologies.

·         Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

·         Strong knowledge of relational database management system technologies and tools.

-J2EE programming

-JMS

-JDBC

-Stored procedure development (Oracle or SQL Server preferred)

-Database design

-JSP

-Spring MVC or Struts

-JavaScript

-JQuery JavaScript library

 

Preference will be given to developers with expertise in both business and web tier; however, we will also consider candidates expert in one or the other.
