Position: Flex Developer

Location: Rochester, NY

Duration: 18 Months

Interview: 1) Webex (code review on Flex), 2) Proveit test for Flex, 2) Skype or phone for final interview

 

Please note: Candidates must be able to read and write from scratch Flex code.  The candidates will be given a scenario test and Flex code test during the interview.  If Paychex likes a candidate they will hire them immediately.  This position was created five years ago and continues to be open due to high demand.

Description: Flex developer to work on UI for enterprise application.  The Flex front end will use web services to serve up information from source systems.  Java Swing is a skill set that transfers most easily to Flex. UI Flex Development. The position includes working on multiple back to back projects involving heavy Flex and Actionscript coding. Candidates need strong object oriented coding with expert knowledge of Flex and Actionscript 4. Having an understanding of how frameworks can be used is critical. Middle tier Java coding will also be required. Candidates are expected to thoroughly test their code including the use of automated tests. Clear communication is critical since there are multiple projects with many developers involved. Candidates must be able to clearly comprehend what is needed and be able to clearly communicate their status and obstacles.

Requirements:

·         2 years experience with complex Action Script.

·         2 years experience with Adobe Flex.

·         2 years XML experience.

·         Experience with enterprise or mission critical applications.

·         Working knowledge of MVC.

·         Very good communication and team skills.
