Qualifications:
Ø 5+ years Oracle experience including Oracle RAC
Ø Database tuning, query optimization, and performance analysis
Ø Database modeling
Ø Capacity analysis and recommendations
Ø Ability to review and provide feedback on data solutions designed by developers
Ø Direct and/or implement backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
Ø Install and test patches and upgrades
Ø Experience with security and encryption
Ø Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
Ø 5+ years experience developing commercial software applications in a structured environment
Ø Experience in developing high volume commercial web applications
Ø Experience in developing web services and developing within SOA architectures
Ø Exceptional architecture, design, implementation, and testing skills
Ø Working across organizations to coordinate implementation of solutions
Ø Leading and mentoring less experienced technicians to achieve goals
Ø Ability to create shell scripts and task automation
Ø Contributes to project proposals and RFP responses including providing estimation, resource requirements and high level solution architecture
Ø BS in Computer Science or related technical field

Ø Work independently on complex tasks
Ø Produce well-written technical documentation
Ø Work within a structured development environment that includes design and code reviews, version control, and automated unit testing. Follow a defined product development process.

The candidate should have experience with the following tools used in our Java-based organization:
Ø Subversion and CVS
Ø Eclipse
Ø Robot, JUnit
Ø Rally
Ø Linux as a target platform
Ø Windows as a development environment
Ø Oracle 10 and 11, Oracle RAC
Experience and skills desired:
Ø Design and implementation of data warehouses
Ø Experience with Agile development methodologies, especially Scrum
Ø Experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing
Ø Experience with Healthcare application development is a plus
Ø Experience with Analytic Reporting and GIS application a plus
