Title: Vmware L3 System Admin
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description:
Vmware L3 as primary Skill set and Wintel & Citrix as secondary Skill Set
- Extensive hands on knowledge of Windows 2008/2003 Servers,
- Working knowledge of Vmware host and Guest OS management skills
- Working knowledge on any of monitoring tools like Tivoli suite, NETIQ, Sitescope.
- Should have knowledge on the applications like SMS, Symantec Netbackup
- Good Knowledge on Cluster environment
- Troubleshooting Windows AD
- Threshold management
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in OS related issues
- Administration of DNS, WINS, DHCP Servers.
- Disk Administrator: Compact Partitions & Shares, Disk Quotas, DFS
- Patch management, Virus Management & Firmware upgrade
- Working Knowledge of File and Print servers
- Log monitoring/maintenance
- Understanding of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning.
- Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.)
- Should have knowledge on Backup operation.
- Knowledge on Active Directory would be desirable
- Good Communication skills
- H/W troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
