Job description:
DWH Architect will be a primary designer of the data warehouse. Individual will be involved in selecting hardware and software tools and overseeing the development of data models, exact-transform-load scripts, metadata definition and models, queries and reports.
Ø Individual will lead the DWH Project ; design and development to deliver Data Model, Business Object Reports, dashboards
Ø Will assist the development of Logical and Physical data models
Ø Will be responsible for successful delivery of enterprise data modeling initiatives, providing technical knowledge to EDW team

Job Requirements for Data Warehouse Architects
A data warehouse architect is expected to have prior warehouse building experience as well as
Ø Experience with data modeling, database administration, various operating platforms
Ø Metadata management and familiarity with SQL, ETL and OLAP.
Ø The architect also needs to possess conceptual and analytical skills, knowledge of the business domain (insurance industry)
Ø A minimum of ten to fifteen years of experience in data warehouse architecture and an ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Ø Knowledge and hands-on experience in MS SQL Server
Ø Expert in Data Modeling using Erwin, Power Designer or similar tool
Ø Must be familiar with Ralph Kimball methodology

This candidate will work as a contributing member of our Truven Health Internet Delivery System (THIDS) platform and shared services teams. The THIDS team within the Healthcare business of Truven Health analytics is responsible for designing, developing, and launching a common platform for web based applications that assist our customers in making informed healthcare decisions.
This position is a senior technical position responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting multiple large scale databases in multiple environments. This position reports up through the Development organization, not Operations. The focus is on solid data development practices and activities. Some time may also be necessary to support Operations in their efforts to implement and support data solutions in Production or other customer facing environments.
Qualifications:
