Exchange Administrator / Consultant

 Work Location :Cleveland, Ohio

Duration: 6-12 months

 

Relevant Experience (Yrs)            4 – 6 years

Technical/Functional Skills           

             MS Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 (preferred 2010 and associated technologies

             Expert in troubleshooting WINDOWS SERVER 2003/2008/2008R2 in an Enterprise Environment.

             Installation and Configuration of Exchange in complex environments with multiple AD domains and SMTP domains

             The e mail migration activity

             Strong understanding of mail dependencies with AD, DNS, routing, relays, and emerging technologies around encryption, TLS, DK/DKIM, and SPF.

             Maintain & perform periodic testing of disaster recovery procedures for the MS Exchange 2007/ 2010 environment .Knowledge of DAG functionalities for High Availability is MUST.

             Basic scripting and command line knowledge

             Experience working in a team environment and as a resource on Technology Projects

             Knowledge of the ITIL Framework.  Specifically, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management

 

Position Requirements

             Performs migrations and deployments related to the building, upgrade and maintenance of MS Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 (preferred 2010

             based Server hardware and Windows Operating Systems, MS Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 (preferred 2010

             Supports customer projects and site upgrades projects, and end of lease/life server replacements.

             Analyzes requests for Infrastructure needs, provide solution based on the requirements with standard Eaton technologies.

             Follows the Standard Eaton IT procurement process with standard suppliers worldwide.

             Ability to thoroughly plan overall work assignments and is able to break down large tasks into smaller components. Provides estimates for effort and schedule to group leader.

             Provides regular status updates to customers and leadership as needed.  Identifies issues and risks and reports promptly

             Teams with customer to assess requirements. Is able to converse with customers in their language, keeping acronyms and concepts understandable.

             Works a standard business day. May need to be available outside of normal business hours for project implementations.

Total Experience Required           4 – 6 years

Roles & Responsibilities

             Provides support relating to MS Exchange across the Enterprise. Possesses a technical understanding of mail server related systems including x86 Server hardware and the Windows Server Operating System.  In addition, understanding and experience with MS Exchange and email migration activity  is required. Updates documentation, metrics, and work assignment progress as needed.
