Required Skills:        

1)       Networking Technology

a.       Hardware and Network function (Switch/Router/Load Balancer/Proxy)

b.       Packet handling, including routing, time to live, key fields in packet structures

c.        TCP/IP, UDP/IP, ICMP protocol function and performance

d.       DNS – function and performance

2)       Common IT security vulnerabilities and the tools used to mitigate them

                                                           i.       Undesired port contacts/Firewalls&Policy Management tools, Layer 7 exploits/Web Application Firewalls, Unauthorized network activity/IDS-IPS, DDOS/DDOS mitigation strategy, Unauthorized changes/Content Integrity Monitoring,   Data Loss Prevention/DLP tools, Advanced Threat Detection/Log Aggregation & Event Correlation, Host attacks/Hardening tools, and User Management (data protection, access, and authorization).

3)       Common IT Security Program Frameworks (NIST/ISACA/Cobit/ISO…)

4)       Common Compliance Frameworks (PCI, FISMA, HIPPA, etc.)

5)       At least 15 years of experience as an information security professional in the security consulting space

6)       At least two security-related certifications, such as GSEC and CISSP

7)       Incident Response Management

8)       Good communication skills
