ITJOB-ALERT Urgent Need for Java/J2EE Software Engineer (Contract to Hire)

Title: Java/J2EE Software Engineer

Location: Downtown Chicago (Near the Merchandise Mart)

Duration: 3 months contract to hire (6 months if they need the time to transition their H1B status to EAD/Greencard)

Interview: Phone Int. Tuesday or Wednesday between 12-4:30PM. F2F Interviews scheduled for either Thursday or Saturday (preferably on site, but open to Skype interviews)

Must Haves:
4 plus years Experience developing Java applications

4 plus years Java J2EE development experience

4 plus years EJB & JMS development experience

2-5 years Experience building applications with Web services

Experience writing ANT or Maven scripts to build and deploy applications

Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred additional skills:
· (BIG PLUS) Experience with SCXML on a Apache backend (SCXML is a general-purpose event-based state machine language that can be used in many ways).

Responsibilities:
The primary objective of our Software Engineer is to assist in the development and maintenance efforts of the client’s applications. This individual leverages their experience in analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software applications to develop, enhance, and modify existing applications. The Senior Software Engineer is expected to conceptualize software solutions at both the unit level, ie. program module, and at the system level, ie. integrated applications. This individual demonstrates a thorough understanding of the latest development environments including development standards, philosophies, tools and applications.

· Code complex J2EE software applications.
· Create and execute unit test plans.
· Research and correct complex defects.
· Participate in and lead functional and technical specification reviews.
· Participate in creating and executing integration level test plans.
· Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.
· Research technical solutions to business problems.
