The IT Developer participates in the design, implementation, installation, documentation, maintenance and upgrade of J2EE web applications deployed on WebLogic applications servers on the Sun Solaris platform, including related Oracle database development and administration.  Additional duties will include related server and desktop client administration and maintenance, and management of team development tools and environments.

 

1.             Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required:

-        4+ years developing J2EE applications including experience with WebLogic, Spring, JPA, Hibernate

-        2+ years recent hands-on Oracle database development experience

-        Solid understanding of systems performance tuning (database and application) and troubleshooting;

-        Excellent team player, ability to work independently and proactively in production and development environment;

-        2+ years experience in design of systems, applications, and databases;

-        1+ year experience with UNIX programming utilities, including vi, shell scripts, and crontab;

-        Strong problem solving and technical research skills;

-        Efficient organizational skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;

-        Attention to detail and thoroughness;  and

Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

 

2.             Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

-        TIBCO experience is a plus

-        Struts experience is a plus

-        Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development experience;

-        Experience with Subversion and the Rational test suite

-        Experience administering J2EE application servers;

-        Experience with Oracle database development and data modeling tools (e.g. ERWin, Toad);

-        Experience in data warehouse design and support; and

-        Experience with using open source system and software development tools

Experience developing mobile applications using Flex
