Job Title:     Storage Administrator

Location:     Houston, TX

Duration:     6 Months

 

Job Description:

Project responsibilities:

·         EMC is working with CLIENT to plan data migration to CyrusOne, Dallas and CyrusOne, Houston (close to 25 TB will be migrated using SRDF and OC3 link that is being installed)

·         Migration will have swing storage equipment's that EMC will provide and take out post migration

·         HCL Storage Admin will aid in helping monitor the migration and supplement into the project team to get involved to gain insights on  specific storage work; project accountability remains with EMC

·         DEV and QA will be migrated by backup recovery process and the implementation work is being done by Mark 3;. HCL will get fully involved post the "Hand Over to Support"

·         We will use CLIENT's existing Hands and Feet support for this project. The work will involve allocations (disk and LUNS) and other administrative activities

·         Business as Usual Operations will involve

o        Provisioning LUN's (create storage, port and initiator groups, create masking view)  in CyrusOne Datacenters ( Dallas and Houston) using EMC native administration tools

o        Storage Space management, zoning, configuration, monitoring and analyzing event, alert logs and take proactive measures

o        Other standard storage activities like SRDF replication management, Fabric management, address storage problems, Aid in Data migration for operations, performance management.
