Job Description:
UNIX and Sun Solaris are required knowledge. .Net/Java is not required but helpful.
Participate as a development team member to ensure successful on-time delivery of assigned projects. Responsible for the software design and construction of various OSS components.
Essential Job Functions:
· Design code enhancements · Analyze requirement documents and develop custom solutions
· Knowledgeable in Telecommunications
· Architect and design code enhancements
· Hands on coding and debugging
· Knowledge of OS systems/platforms, Unix, NT
· Ability to document/design system architecture or modules
· Analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• High degree of familiarity with DNS. Experience with running BIND as an authoritative DNS server is a plus.
• Knowledge of shell (sh) scripting. Able to write new scripts and modify existing ones.
• Basic sysadmin experience with Sun hardware running the Solaris 2.8-2.10 operating systems.
• Use/support for Postfix as a mail server application
• Subject Matter Expert for the Solaris Operating Environment, Domain Name System, and Network Time Protocol
• Utilized DNS and BIND as both recursive and as an authoritative server.
