Hi All,
You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the QA processes for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. In addition, you will also be responsible for end to end QA design from data acquisition through data presentation. Should have good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies, extensive experience in testing DW functions such as ETL and Reporting, subject matter knowledge in E-Commerce as well as hands-on technical skills with SQL, PL/SQL, Scripting and testing tool.
Responsibilities:
Review design/functional specifications and develop detailed test plans for Data Warehouse and Reports.
Create and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance (UAT) test.
Develop automated testing capabilities, including interfacing with developers and analysts to develop tools as well as define test suites and create test data
Plan testing of new feature development. Develop automated tests.
Support and improve data quality with continuous builds, automated testing and release management process.
Coordinate with product management, engineering and operations.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on Data QA experience developing test plans and test cases.
3+ years of experience of testing working with Data (ETL, Data Migrations, Data Integrations) and Business Intelligence application
Significant testing/QA experience on business database/data warehouse application development projects.
Must be "data" savvy.
Expert knowledge in SQL and Scripting. Ability to execute/optimize complex queries.
Deep knowledge of Proficiency in using ETL tools like Pentaho or Informatica.
Experience working with any one DB – Vertica , Oracle database 10g+ , MYSQL
Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, outstanding attention to detail
Ability to work on multiple projects against aggressive deadlines
Must be self-motivated and possess excellent problem solving capabilities.
Must be able to handle and achieve completion on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Work experience in an Agile development environment is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical field of study.
