Senior Windows Application Support Profile
**The main items from a technical standpoint will be around VMWare ESX + supporting technologies, as well as the Microsoft technologies (AD, etc.).
Technical Skills:
· Experience supporting .NET and Java Applications (IIS, Tomcat, etc.).
· Experience supporting and securing Internet facing enterprise web applications.
· Experience supporting high availability applications on Windows systems utilizing load-balancing technologies and firewalls.
· A strong understanding of IP networking and name resolution protocols.
· Experience supporting VMWare ESX.
· The ability to write and maintain scripts in PowerShell.
· Experience utilizing an enterprise monitoring solution for capacity analysis and troubleshooting.
· Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, and file/print services.
· Familiarity with SAN and NAS storage.
Responsibilities include:
· Application Support
· Support and deployment of various internal applications written in java and asp.net on Microsoft Windows.
· Support for various off the shelf applications including Citrix, Onbase, Captiva OCR, Enterprise File Transfer, and Rightfax.
· Monitoring systems for system/performance problems and recommend/implement solutions to improve system scalability and robustness.
· Responding to internal & external customer issues regarding IT operations.
· Tracking current security threats and performing remediation.
· Performing root cause analysis for outages and issues.
· Providing internal developer support.
· Assisting with new projects for ongoing product innovation.
· Providing feedback and recommendations to development and system architects on how to properly implement applications with regards to standards and security.
· Working in conjunction with other departments to troubleshoot and repair any reported malfunction of IT systems.
· Identifying processes that can be automated and implement automation to increase efficiency and manageability.
Organizational Skills:
· Resourceful self-starter, capable of prioritizing simultaneous projects and tasks.
· Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to take companywide perspective and be diplomatic when resolving issues.
· Experience in balancing and following through multiple projects with shifting responsibilities.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· The ability to document systems and procedures.
