ACTIVE DIRECTORY ENGINEER
Work Location : San Francisco, CA. 
Duration : 6-12 Months+ Contract
Rate : Market

Note : Must be a SR level person.  US citizen, GC or EAD only.

AD Engineer responsible for design, build, and implementation of AD Domain Controllers.
Work with AD Architect and AD Migration Engineer in the migration of AD Users, Objects, etc. from one AD Domain to another.

Experience:

Hands on experience with Active Directory Infrastructure and Administration.

- Has developed processes, procedures, technology and communication plans for seamlessly migrating users, workstations and resources between Active Directory infrastructures

- Has extensive scripting experience with VBScript, VBA, ADSI or VB

- Has Trained and mentored other consultants and client employees in the management of Active Directory infrastructures and migration projects

- Has in-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP services

- Excellent communication skills

 

Job description

Candidate will lead and manage the AD migration activities for users, computers and other AD objects.

Will coordinate with deployment manager and develop migration deployment plans.

Will perform test migration scenarios in Dev and QA test labs

Identify and perform all activities required to successfully migrate groups of users and supporting objects in Production

Point person to resolve post-migration issues

Train and mentor Gap resources (desktop and server) to manage migration activities.

 

Hiring manager would like candidate to start ASAP. Interview Process: Phone Screening, F2F interview (or WebEx) This position is open because a new AD migration project is in the works. Candidate was selected but declined offer. Looking for a Sr. level Windows AD System Engineer who is a team player and can funcction well in teams as large as 80 engineers. They are migrating users to a new domain. Imperative that candidate has experience with AD migration tool, scripting and Administration Currently utilizing Windows Server 2008 The migration includes 80 users, groups, objects, servers, 5 domains. Candidate must also be able to mentor junior and mid-level engineers Hands on sr. level experience required. Preferred scripting langues are Powershell or VBScript. Developing utility scripts, migrating thousands of users. Automating manual processes
