Job Description:

 

Migrate all .edu sites to a WordPress Content Management System for high traffic consumer facing websites & applications

•  Configuration, Installation, Maintenance & Cross Train

•  Specific technologies to be used include: PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, and MySQL

 

Basic Qualifications        WordPress Implementation Expert:

 

Expert in installing, configuring, and running WordPress Blogging Product as a mission-critical software product for an enterprise.

 

Required Experience:

 

•             Delivery of mission-critical WordPress instance(s)

•             Delivery of a reliable WordPress service for > 1,000 users and > 500,000 hits per day

•             Integration of WordPress with external authentication, identity, and other IT systems

•             Expertise with Apache, MySQL and PHP (the underpinnings of WordPress)

•             Expertise and knowledge of common WordPress plug-ins: their use, behavior, benefits, and risks

•             Expertise in the operation of WordPress, including configuration, themes, and security

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

•  2+ years of general web development experience

•  WordPress

•  PHP

•  HTML

•  CSS

•  JS

•  MySQL

 

BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

•  Java

•  Perl

•  Other CMS experience

•  Bachelor*s Degree in CS or related field
