Position: QA Lead
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:
Basic Qualifications (must have):
1. 7+ years of strong QA experience in developing automated test suites, test frameworks and adding enhancements to the test frameworks
2. Leading/advising a team of 10+ offshore qa-engineers
3. Strong in at least one OOP - Java (preferred) or C++
4. Strong test automation experience for web applications using the Selenium tool
5. Strong experience in developing backend automation (REST/SOAP API/Webservices testing) test suites using JUnit or testNg framework.
6. Experience with load testing tools load runner, soapUI, Jmeter and Grinder
7. Strong understanding of I18N, L10N, security testing
8. Experience with LINUX/UNIX
9. Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of REST, SOAP web services and internet protocols and languages such as HTTP and XML
2. Experience with Agile methodology.
3. Experience with code coverage, static analysis tools
4. Ability to work on multiple projects, with multiple teams
5. Knowledge of mobile testing is highly desirable
6. Experience with relational databases - Oracle preferred or MySQL
7. Experience working with large data volumes, including Map-Reduce (e.g. Hadoop) or other parallel data processing techniques a plus
