I.SUMMARY:
The IS Sr. Analyst, SAP Reporting analyzes, defines and assists in the deployment of the SAP based solution (Global Template) for the SAP Business Intelligence (BI) processes The IS Sr. Analyst creates the global template application and defines any material gaps that may exist with the present and ongoing business and facilitates the determination of whether changes are to be made to the Global template or localization is required.    SAP Business Objects BI solutions are a critical function in Ingram Micro's business model.  The SAP BI solution provides BI functionality that empowers users to access, format, analyze, navigate, and share information across the enterprise.  An efficient and effective BI process will have a quantifiable impact on costs, productivity and Ingram Micro profitability. 
The IS Sr. Analyst, SAP BI will use their skills in SAP process design, and configuration, SAP design, development integration, testing and deployment, and/or SAP technical architecture to focus on architecting a solutions using SAP to achieve a defined business outcome.  The IS Sr. Analyst, SAP BI works on the complete life cycle from business requirements definition , through design, build, testing, training, end user and technical documentation and delivery to production.  In addition, the IS Sr. Analyst, SAP BI  participates in maintenance and system technical and functional upgrades (e.g. OSS Notes, Service Packs,  and Version upgrades) that are required and agreed by the Global IS team.  The IS Sr. Analyst, SAP BI plays a significant role in designing an SAP production solution which is global, integrated, scalable, and flexible and follows industry best practices.   

Efficient and effective deployment of BI allows:
•Search and navigation
•Advanced analytics
•Query and analysis
•Dashboards and visualization
•Reporting
The IS Sr. Analyst, SAP BI contributes to the 3 -5 year IS road map (strategic plan) to support the SAP BI process areas.  Enabling responsive supply networks is a complex process, especially for Ingram Micro's global operations.   Key success criteria in this position are: 1) an in-depth understanding of global Supply Chain Management and Execution  processes preferably in the global  distribution or reseller  industry; 2) experience in understanding and application of data warehouse and business analytics tools, specifically SAP's NetWeaver and Business Objects solutions; 3) strong SAP functional knowledge of the BI processes that include robust reporting and analytics tools 4) strong expertise on the people, process and procedural change impact that arise with the deployment of BI functionality; 5) thought leadership on Industry Best Practices; 6) Excellent understanding of related cross functional - business processes in the area of Finance, P2P, OTC and SCE. 
A particular area of knowledge and expertise must be applied to specific customizations related to the Ingram Micro distribution business.   Ingram Micro's SAP deployments must consider international requirements that support the Ingram Micro business model.  
This role requires that quality is relentlessly pursued through products and services that meet the customer (internal and external) expectations.

Critical areas of BI process expertise for this role are:
•Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) layer - for extracting data from a specific source, applying transformation rules, and loading it into the Data Warehouse Area.
•Data Warehouse - for storing the information in various types of structures (e.g. Data Store Objects, InfoObjects and multidimensional InfoCubes that follow star schema design).
•Reporting - for accessing the information in data warehouse area and presenting it in a user-friendly manner to the analyst or business user.
•Planning and analysis - capabilities for the user to run simulations and perform tasks such as budget calculations.
•Data warehouse organized around pre-defined business content in the form of InfoCubes, Info Objects, authorization roles, and queries.
•Analytical and simulation functionality to evaluate and promote desirable programs and model new program
•Variant configurations and batch determination
•Master Data Management, validation and governance.

III.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in computer Science, Engineering, or related science and math discipline with an IS emphasis.  PMP certification is an added plus.   A minimum of 5 years of experience in:
•Global SAP Implementation
•Complex international business environment
And a minimum of three years' BI specific experience
